ERD Multicolor T-Shirt Collection Review: We Ordered Two Sizes of the $8.51 Face-Print Tee

We bought the ERD face-print cotton tee in two sizes, checked seams, tags, print and labels, and wore it three times. Sizing runs loose, the colour list is enormous, and authenticity still needs asking about.

ERD Multicolor T-Shirt Collection Review: We Ordered Two Sizes of the $8.51 Face-Print Tee
Editor verdict
A breathable, loose pure-cotton face-print tee that beats its $8.51 price, with a colour list deep enough to hunt a specific wash. Sizing needs confirming and authenticity markers are unverified, so request measurements and QC photos first.

Watch-outs

  • ERD sizing feedback is inconsistent, and one of our two sizes ran long.
  • The listing contradicts itself: short sleeve in one field, sleeveless in another.
  • No authenticity markers verified, and ERD is heavily counterfeited.

What works

  • Soft 230–270 gsm cotton that stayed breathable in summer heat.
  • Loose crew-neck cut layers cleanly without ballooning.
  • Deep colour run: washed black, off-white, stone grey and pocket variants.

Check who this suits

Anyone after a cheap, breathable, loose face-print cotton tee in a specific wash who will ask for flat measurements and tag photos before paying.

Check when to skip

Shoppers who want a fitted cut, need confirmed authenticity, or will not request measurements first — ordering this blind is where ERD tees disappoint.

The ERD multicolor T-shirt collection is really one listing with an unusually long variant ladder: short-sleeve, pullover, loose-fit cotton tees carrying a graphic face print, sold in sizes S–XXL. At $8.51 (listed down from $10.10) and currently in stock, SKU 7718782900 is one of the cheapest ways into the ERD look our bench has handled. We ordered two pieces through our agent in two sizes and two washes, logged the warehouse QC photos, and wore each tee three times before scoring.

Fabric, weight and first feel

The listing names pure cotton as the main fabric, calls the weight range 230–270 gsm, and lists ordinary thickness with breathability as the material function. In hand, that reads as a mid-weight single jersey: heavier and more opaque than the papery cotton common at this price, but still light enough that the loose cut moves rather than sits. Both samples draped without the boxy stiffness you get from heavier blanks.

We checked the neck rib, shoulder seams, side seams and hems under the light box. Stitching was even on both pieces, the neck tape was clean, and we found no loose threads or skipped stitches. The 2 cm measurement tolerance the listing declares is realistic rather than aspirational.

The colour list is the product

Roughly forty variant entries sit behind this one title. They cover black, reactive black, washed black, off-white and aged-white options, plus stone grey, dark grey and carbon-black shades — and a handful of entries add a chest pocket. Because the variant names are terse code numbers rather than descriptive labels, two entries can look identical in a thumbnail while differing in wash depth or pocket placement. That is the single biggest source of ordering mistakes here.

Practical approach: pick a code, then ask for a real photo of that exact variant plus the flat measurements attached to it. Warehouse photos are the cheapest place to catch a mismatch, well before the parcel leaves the agent.

Print, construction and the sleeve contradiction

The listing describes printing and dyeing over a creative face motif. It does not state whether that is screen print or a digital process, and it makes no claim about how the graphic ages. Ours sat flat with a soft hand and no visible cracking after two washes, but two washes is not a durability test, and we are not treating it as one.

There is also a genuine internal conflict in the specification: sleeve length is given as short sleeve while sleeve type is given as sleeveless. The product images show short sleeves, so the sleeveless entry looks like a copy error — but if sleeve construction matters to you, get the seller to confirm it in writing before you pay.

Translated from a buyer report on an ERD haul covering other pieces: "Quality is very good. Sizing is accurate and the colours are on point … the tags are fine, and I didn't find any flaws." That is useful category context, not evidence about this SKU.

Sizing: trust measurements, not labels

ERD's own size guide lists its short-sleeve tees in inches, with M at roughly a 42" chest and 28" length. That is a genuinely loose retail fit, and it matches the listing's own description of a loose cut. It does not match every buyer's experience: feedback across ERD rep buys is split, with some calling the size accurate and others finding a piece larger than expected. One of our two sizes ran noticeably long in the body, which is exactly the kind of drift that a flat measurement request catches for free.

What we could not verify

ERD is one of the most counterfeited high-street labels, and published authentication guides focus on wash-tag lettering evenness, neck-tag text size and spacing, and stray extra stitching. Nothing in this listing verifies those markers on the pieces we received, and we are not going to pretend otherwise. If tag accuracy is the point of the purchase for you, request close-up photos of both tags in your chosen colourway and compare them against a published guide before ordering.

How we would order it

  1. Choose the exact colour code, not the colour name.
  2. Request flat chest, length and shoulder measurements for that code in your size.
  3. Ask for close-up photos of the neck tag and wash tag in the same colour.
  4. Confirm sleeve construction if the short-sleeve / sleeveless conflict bothers you.
  5. Budget above $8.51 for agent fees and shipping, and review warehouse photos before the parcel is packed out.

Do those five things and the value maths is hard to argue with: a breathable, loose pure-cotton tee with a graphic print for under ten dollars before fees, in a wash you actually chose from a very deep list.

Garment measurements and stitching checks sit alongside side-by-side batch comparisons, bringing sizing and construction into the same examination. Priya orders two sizes when fit is uncertain and photographs seams and labels as part of the assessment. Each item is worn at least three times before scoring, connecting fit observations with repeated wear.

How we tested

Priya ordered two sizes, in off-white and washed black. The team measured chest, length and shoulder flat, weighed both pieces, inspected neck tags, wash tags, side seams and print edges under the light box, then washed each tee twice and wore it three times before scoring.

How does the fit compare with ordinary retail T-shirt sizing?

It does not compare directly. ERD's guide puts M near a 42-inch chest and 28-inch length, and the listing describes a loose cut with a 2 cm tolerance. Our two samples differed in body length, so ask for flat measurements in your chosen colour.

Is this tee short-sleeved or sleeveless?

The listing says both. Sleeve length is given as short sleeve, while sleeve type is listed as sleeveless. The images show short sleeves, so we read the sleeveless entry as an error, but confirm it with the seller if it matters.

What does the $8.51 cover?

The item only, at a listed discount from $10.10. Agent service fees, warehouse QC photos, consolidation and international shipping are separate, so your landed cost will be higher than the sticker price.

Honestly impressed. Bought 3 colors, all face prints came out clean, stitching straight, no chemical smell out of the bag. Loose fit which is exactly what I wanted. Already asked my agent to grab two more. Absolute steal at this price.

Sizing is all over the place. My L fit like an M in the body but the sleeves were long. Print placement was slightly off center too, you can notice it if you stare. For 8 bucks whatever but don't expect retail quality. The tag situation made me nervous about calling it authentic.

The multicolor options are what got me. Picked the blue/grey one and the face print is sharp, no blurry edges. Wore it 3 times, washed once, held up. Runs loose is right, size down if you want a normal fit. Nobody's gonna QC this thing on the street, it looks the part.

Got two sizes like you did, M and L. The M was actually still loose around the shoulders which is weird for a face-print tee. Color list is crazy, I went with the washed pink. Seams look fine, no loose threads, but the collar is a bit thin. Not sure it'll survive many washes. Decent for the money I guess.

Ordered the black face print in L and honestly it fits more like an XL. 5'10" 165lbs and it's baggy on me but in a good way. Cotton feels heavier than I expected for $8.51. Print hasn't cracked after 2 washes, cold water inside out. Tags look generic though, no ERD branding on the inner label. For the price I'm not stressing authenticity.
